Hey, I’m Aimee!

I’m a digital illustrator from Ottawa, Canada. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I was always that kid doodling all over notebooks, homework assignments, and any blank space I could find. If there was paper nearby, chances are I was filling it with little characters, random ideas, and strange drawings instead of paying attention.

A lot of my love for illustration started at home. Growing up, my dad would sit down and show me old Looney Tunes episodes, and I became obsessed with the bold personalities, exaggerated expressions, and playful chaos. Family SpongeBob marathons definitely played a part too. Looking back, those cartoons shaped my love for humor, character, and art that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

I’ve always been drawn to big, bold visuals, whether it was craft beer can artwork, murals, or illustrations packed with personality. I love art that grabs your attention and sticks with you, and that’s something I try to bring into my own work.

In May 2025, I finally started sharing my art on Instagram. Some of my first drawings were inspired by my cats, created in a retro cartoon style with my own twist, and seeing people connect with them gave me the confidence to keep creating and putting my work out there.

Today I mostly create digitally on my iPad Pro, which has become my favorite way to work. I still love sketching on paper and painting with watercolor and acrylic, but if I’m being honest, you’ll usually find me with my iPad nearby, doodling something.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet, I’m glad you’re here!!
